Role Overview


The Solution Architect is a key client-facing member of the engineering team. You will partner with multiple roles within the broader Worthwhile team to consult, envision solutions, and make recommendations that create software solutions that provide business value to our clients, enabling them to achieve their desired business outcomes. You are comfortable talking to technical and business-oriented stakeholders, ranging from the enterprise C-Suite to managers at mid-market companies. You are a lifelong learner who leverages the art of asking great questions in order to understand client needs. You are just as comfortable facilitating discovery and whiteboarding sessions as you are creating written technical requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and/or co-facilitate Design Thinking workshops.
  • Support solutioning by leading technical research efforts and participating in aspects of use case definition (including survey creation, interviews, contextual inquiries).
  • Support business development by providing strategic expertise during the sales process.
  • Partner with Product Management to capture both functional and nonfunctional system requirements through discovery and user research.
  • Translate requirements into architectural solutions and document architecture and design artifacts.
  • Partner with Product Management, Program Management and the engineering team to create effort estimates and define the body of work through phases, milestones and tasks.
  • Present solutions in easy to understand ways to achieve client trust.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, research them, and present findings to appropriate parties.
  • Support any other initiative or project as defined by the leadership team.

Role Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and shipping software products
  • Proven track record of crafting solutions as a Software Architect or Technical Lead
  • Experience with Design Thinking as a solution design framework
  • Experience working with a variety of programming languages, frameworks, operating systems, and platforms
  • Experience with database design and data modeling
  • Extensive experience in all phases of software development process
  • Excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural styles
  • Experience with distributed event store/stream processing platforms
  • Experience with cloud-native architecture and solutions
  • Strong soft skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to create API Specifications, data models, UML Modeling, service diagrams, wireframes, and user stories

Compensation and benefits

Salary Range:


The annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - 150,000. We base our salary ranges off of market data which include years of experience and geographical location but we’re always open to a conversation about compensation.
